Tel Aviv has become increasingly known as a fashion capital, nearing some of European’s finest as a trendsetter for clothes and accessories. Visitors and high coutre Israelis flock to Gan Haheshmal, the hip fashion district, where store after store display the hottest designers’ creations. Now, if you can’t make it there yourself to browse and purchase something tres chic, you can go online thanks to the site Coolil (Cool Israel).

According to a story in The Forward, Coolil, the brainchild of New York-based Israeli Eran Shor, offers accessory products by 10 different Israeli labels.

Among the items on offer are leather handbags and wallets by Daniella Lehavi and Efika, and precious metal jewelry by Augusta and Shelly Assody. Diaper bags by Heidi (apparently all the rage with Tel Aviv stroller moms) and plush toys by Manuella are also available on the recently launched site. Many of the featured brands have had limited or no prior distribution stateside.

While there are stores in the US, like Rosebud in New York, which feature 100% Israeli fashion and accessories, Coolil sounds like a good idea for the rest of the world. Especially since the average Israeli is unlikely to be able to afford a diaper bag by Heidi. We’re just trying to afford the diapers.

    4. Also ,there is a nice shop Ben Yehuda 9!hand knitting from a designer who worked for haute Couture in J.PGauthierJohn Galliano ,Ungaro.
    Beautiful shop ,special clothes.
