It’s a dog’s world
In case you were wondering why you didn’t get offered one of those free seats in business class, here’s the answer: One Israeli woman paid $32,000 to have business class all to herself…and her dog.
According to the report in Yediot Ahronot, Passenger Rivkah didn’t want to have her dog fly in cargo, as is usually the case with canines and other pets. So she asked El Al Airlines if her boxer could fly in the seat next to her on the flight from Paris to Israel. While the airline officials were surprised, they decided to try and figure out a solution, given her willingness to pay extra for the privilege.
Estimates are that Rivkah paid some $32,000 to guarantee that she and Or, her dog, would have the section all to themselves. Lest you worry that her dog got to climb all over the seats, Or did travel in a cage and a veterinarian accompanied them.
According to Rivkah, “her baby,” as she calls Or, is worth any price.
“He is my child, not a dog,” she told Yediot. “And he deserves the best,” she said.
Maybe Rivkah would like to subsidize our family’s next flight??

I don’t believe it!!!
mmmmm
Scanning the world’s e-newspapers today – there is a lot of unusual news items on the Israel news sites today – this one had me ‘howling’ with amazement …
Well if you have the money – that is one lucky doggie
I just emailed with a shelter in Quincy, Ill; to try and help two labs scheduled to be put down Friday if no home is found – that money could be so useful to so many shelters but I respect the woman’s care of her pet – she didn’t insist on the full section and the Veterinarian got a nice surprise vacation – oy veh
Again it is true, that kind of money could help so many – but hey some doggies to die in cargo and protecting her beloved pet is better than some useless bauble or an expense new outfit or shoes or other trivia
If you got the money – I wish I was her Vet or her ….dog … crg ;-)
thanks for all your cool posts Jessica
