Off hand, I don’t know of any publication dedicated to this topic. I think the place to start would be the “resources” page on the site mentioned in the article (Letters from the Front: [Soviet] Jewish War Heroes www.lettersfront.org/).

I came across this list of “Jews - generals and admirals of the USSR (Participants in the war against Nazism)”, but it apparently includes only those born in Belarus: History of the Jews of Belarus: Jews Generals (www.beljews.info/ru/d_generals.php).

There is a wealth of information out there on the Jewish contribution to the Allied war effort in WW2, but one has to search for it. Projects such as this one should hopefully go some way towards addressing this gap: Jewish Soldiers and Prisoners of War during World War II (www.jewishagency.org/JewishAgency/English/Jewish+Education/Compelling+Content/Eye+on+Israel/Current+Issues/Jewish+Soldiers+and+Prisoners+of+War+during+World+War+II.htm)

I’m glad that efforts are being made to document the contribution of Russian Jewish servicemen and women to the war effort, before it’s too late. I’d like to see a more systematic effort to record the names and deeds of our veterans (from all nations), while they are still with us.
