I think the place to start would be the “resources” page on the site mentioned in the article (Letters from the Front: [Soviet] Jewish War Heroes www.lettersfront.org/). I came across this list of “Jews - generals and admirals of the USSR (Participants in the war against Nazism)”, but it apparently includes only those born in Belarus: History of the Jews of Belarus: Jews Generals (www.beljews.info/ru/d_generals.php). There is a wealth of information out there on the Jewish contribution to the Allied war effort in WW2, but one has to search for it. I’d like to see a more systematic effort to record the names and deeds of our veterans (from all nations), while they are still with us.
