Foto Friday – Jerusalem Snow Album 2013
It seems like just yesterday and in fact it was just yesterday that Jerusalem was blanketed in snow. Today, only the memory of the storm and some piles of slush remain, along with a equally massive virtual storm of online photos — so many, in fact, that they inspired this cartoon from the amazing Gil Gibli. In it, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg sends out an an emergency missive: “Please notify Jerusalem’s web-surfers that while the snowfall is nice, our servers can’t bear the overload.”
Nonetheless, there is drama to the sight of Jerusalem’s landmarks frosted with white. The snow has already melted but here are a few images of how it was yesterday and the night before, when the snow started coming down. Undeterred, the Jerusalem Light Rail kept on going down Jaffa Road…
